“KEYS TO SUCCESS” “KEYS TO
SUCCESS” is a mentoring/partnership program sponsored by the Ohio
Section AWWA Diversity Committee.
The purpose is to pair Water Industry Professionals together to
help them succeed in the Water Industry.
To succeed, one must develop technical as well as “people
skills”, leadership ability and both professional and personal
relationships. “KEYS TO
SUCCESS” will help you develop relationships with people who have
similar interests as you. Through
this mentor/partnership you will have the opportunity to share your
knowledge and learn new and different ways to achieve your goals. “KEYS TO
SUCCESS” is about people – the people, who do the mentoring, the
people who are being mentored and the people who are impacted by the
mentoring/partnering relationship. v
A
mentor/partner is someone who supports another individual and is
concerned with his or her growth.
A mentor/partner is concerned for the individual as
a person, not just as an employee.
A mentor/partner is concerned for their protégé’s/partner’s
development as a whole, and not just in the job they do. v Protégés/partners are teachable, involved and passionate about their development. They show independence of spirit and curiosity toward all aspects of the business. If you would like to take advantage of the Keys to Success, please complete a membership form and submit it to Annette Redding Pope, Cleveland Water, 1201 Lakeside Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44114, (216) 664-2444, extension, 5605, fax number (216) 664-3330.
