  • Established in 1881, AWWA is the largest association of drinking water professionals, with 54,000 members in over 130 countries.
  • AWWA is the leading, non-profit, technical and educational association dedicated to meeting the evolving needs of the water supply profession.
  • AWWA is the largest publishing source for drinking water information, including product and procedure standards, and the AWWA Journal.

WEF (Water Environment Federation)

  • Established in 1928, WEF is dedicated to the preservation and enhancement of the global environment, with 40,000 members worldwide.
  • WEF promotes the science, practice, and education of wastewater treatment, industrial treatment, wastewater collection and protection of waterways.
  • WEF provides technical resources, including periodicals and manuals of practice.
  • WEF is a respected source of both regulatory and legislative updates.

Ohio AWWA

  • One of 43 sections within AWWA.
  • Ohio AWWA is over 2500 members strong.
  • Ohio AWWA is divided into four districts: Northeast, Northwest, Southeast, Southwest
  • Each district has three meetings per year.
  • Ohio AWWA holds a State Conference each year in early fall.
  • Ohio AWWA publishes the State Newsletter three times each year.

OWEA (Ohio Water Environment Association)

  • One of 67 associations in WEF.
  • OWEA is over 1,800 members strong.
  • OWEA is divided into four sections:
  • Northeast, Northwest, Southeast, Southwest
  • Each section has three to six meetings per year.
  • OWEA holds a State Meeting each year in June.
  • OWEA publishes the Buckeye Bulletin four times each year.
