Bob Stevenson Elected Director |

Bob is the Commissioner of Treatment Services for the City of Toledo. He started at the Water Division as a Chemist-Bacteriologist in 1978 and has worked in a variety of positions including Chief Chemist, Administrator of Operations and Plant Manager before assuming his current position. Bob has been a member in the American Water Works Association for over 18 years. He has been active in the organization as follows; 6 year term on the Governing Board, serving as Section Chair in 1996-97. In the past, he has served as the Chair of the Northwest District and has been a member of the Ohio Water Utility Council since 1983 serving as its Chair from 1998-2000. Currently, Bob chairs the Technology Committee. On a National level, Bob appeared in an AWWA Water Resources Video, testified before the VA-HUD Subcommittee of the House of Representatives for AWWARF, participated as part of the AWWARF Congressional visitation team, was a member of the PAC that monitored the privatization effort for AWWARF, and helped administer two zebra mussel grants and published the findings. Bob was a member of the Ohio Advisory Board of Examiners from 1990 till 2000 serving as Chair on two different occasions. He also taught the basic water course for OTCO for five years. Bob has helped host 3 State Meetings in Toledo and has presented papers on a State and National level. He currently holds a Class IV Water and a Class III Wastewater License. Bob has received the ‘Spirit of Toledo’ award for outstanding public service from Mayor Finkbeiner on two different occasions. He is also active in his community serving on the Board of First St. Johns Lutheran Church. Bob enjoys golf, hunting, fishing and photography. |
