Straight From the Chair Bill Eitel |
|
It's hard to believe, but September is fast approaching and I would like
to take this opportunity to personally invite you to this year's Ohio
Section Annual Conference in Columbus. The Annual Conference is the
premiere event for our section and this year will continue that
tradition. Planning activities have been underway for months and I can
tell you the Conference Management and Technical Program Committees,
along with a host of other individuals and committees have been tending
to countless details to make the conference great again this year.
While our traditional conference activities will be included, I urge you take the time to review the scheduling changes this time around. The conference has been slightly rearranged to allow a greater opportunity for each attendee to take part in desired activities without having to miss other conference action. A wide variety of educational opportunities will be available regardless of your role in the utility industry. The number of contact hours available will be expanded again this year to allow those affected to get full benefit from attending the conference. Attendees will also be able to tour the exhibits, get together with old friends, and make new friends. There are many new restaurants and watering holes within walking distance of the conference site so plan on seeing a bit of Columbus during your visit. Register today and also consider sending a registration for some of your employees. It is clearly one of the best values available in our region. It's a great opportunity for both you and your employees to learn more about our industry. See you in Columbus! |
