Howard Riehl - Death |
|
The Ohio Section lost one of its personal friends with the passing of
Howard Riehl
on May 10th. Throughout the course of his life, Howard affected a number of family, co-workers, professional peers, and friends. Howard served his country in WWII with the US Navy as a Naval Air Cadet, and graduated from Case Institute of Technology (now Case Western Reserve) with a degree in Chemical Engineering. Howard worked with Dow Chemical and Johns Manville before starting Riehl Systems Company in 1980. Howard was a member of AWWA, OWEA, Rural Water, and Professional Engineers. Howard was actively involved with AWWA being a familiar face at the district, state and National meetings, and shared responsibility for the huge success of the Northern Ohio Exposition, which continues to be held yearly in Wooster. Howard loved to travel, hike, ski, and scuba dive. Howard was married for over 46 years to Joan, and most know his two sons Dave and Doug who will continue to run Riehl Systems Company. |
