Rick Martin Promoted to Executive Director |
|
Rick Martin was promoted on May 23 to Executive Director for the Lake
County Department of Utilities where he will oversee all water,
wastewater, and solid waste administration. Rick has over 20 years with
Lake County, 12 years of which in responsible management and
supervision. Rick began his career as laborer and progressed to plant
operator when he left to finish his Bachelor of Science in Business
Administration degree from Xavier University in 1981. From 1983 to
present, Rick progressed from Water Operator to Director of Water
Operations.
Rick has a Class IV Water Supply License and has been recognized by OEPA and AWWA as a leader in the water industry. Rick was presented the prestigious Operator Meritorious Service Award in 1995, and was instrumental in obtaining the OEPA Outstanding public water system awards for both Lake County Plants in 1997 and 1998. Rick continues to serve AWWA as chair of the Ohio Section Awards Committee, and coordinates the annual state-wide Science Fair Judging. |
