Who we are: a diverse group composed of both younger and more experienced water professionals committed to increasing the involvement of student and younger AWWA members.

District YP Events: these fun events provide opportunities for you to meet other AWWA members in your district. Some of our past events have included water and wastewater plant tours, brewery tours, bowling night, a tour of the water systems at the Cincinnati zoo - just to name a few! Speakers from the water industry: ever wondered what a scientist, engineer, or operator in the water business does? The YP committee will sponsor a speaker from the water industry to talk to your student group about their work and opportunities in the water and wastewater field, or for a tour of a local water plant. Please contact your district rep for more information about this.

Other activities include:

Fund raising for groups like Water for People, and the Ohio Pipe Tapping and Top Ops Teams.

Mentoring opportunities through our Skills Development Program, to help you develop your leadership and communication skills.
