It’s that time again! The Ohio Rural Water Association Annual Conference and Exposition is fast approaching. Our Conference is scheduled for April 2-5, 2006, with the Exposition running from April 3-4, 2007. The Conference and Expo is being held at the Hilton at Easton in Columbus, Ohio (same place as last year.) The room block is currently open at the Hilton, and you can make your reservations by calling 614-414-5000. Be sure to tell them that you are with Ohio Rural Water Association in order to receive the special rate. The room block will end on March 11th.

Enclosed you will find your Exhibitor packet with several pieces of valuable information. All information regarding the expo can also be found on our website, http://www.ohiowater.org/orwa/pages/StateConf.htm

Since you are not members of our Organization, the cost to you for exhibit space is $650.00. Please complete the enclosed registration sheet and return it to my office by March 23, 2007. You can fax the registration to me at 740-455-3899. Be sure to indicate in the registration block which booth number you prefer. Keep in mind that we have several members that have already chosen their space and the booth availability is on a first come, first serve basis, therefore, the booth you prefer may not be available, but I will be sure to contact you if that should occur. The deadline for getting your booth preference and registration to me is March 23, 2007. After this date, Expo Registration will be closed.

I have also enclosed a membership application. If you are interested in becoming a member of the Ohio Rural Water Association, please complete the application and mail it to the ORWA office with payment. As a member of the organization, your booth price will drop to $550.00. Also with exhibiting at our April Conference, you are guaranteed a free space at our Fall Operator Expo in Wilmington, Ohio.

Our Association is working with the George Fern Company for set up and preparation of the expo. You will be contacted by Dan Wolfe of the George Fern Company within several weeks as to your needs. If you need electricity for your booth, you need to go through the George Fern Company or the Hilton directly. Ohio Rural Water Association is not responsible for electrical needs. As an exhibitor you are guaranteed a sign for your booth. Please indicate on the registration form the way in which you would like your name to be printed on the sign.

We are now taking in topics for our upcoming conference and exposition in April. If you have a training or technical presentation of 1 hour or less that is approved for EPA contact hours and would like to present at our conference, please complete the “Training Session Form” and fax or mail it back to the Ohio Rural Water Office.

Due to printing constraints we will need to have those presenting scheduled by Wednesday, December 20, 2006. If we do not have your information by that date, you may not be included in the conference materials that will be distributed to our membership.

Dear Sustaining Member,

In an effort to start promoting the State Conference earlier this year we are requesting that you select your booth for the 2007 Conference this year. You will not be required to pay for it until after January 2nd 2007 or you can pay for it with your annual dues as usual, it’s your choice.

We would like to secure your booth space so that we can start to promote the selling of the remaining booths as soon as possible. The Conference and Expo is scheduled for April 2-5, 2007 with the Expo running from April 3rd-4th. Included in this package is a chart of the booth spaces. These spaces will be reserved on a first come first serve basis.

You should be receiving your membership renewal invoice for the 2007 membership year within the next few weeks. With this invoice you will be receiving an information page that needs to be completed in full and returned to the office with your dues. This information page is to update our office database with current contact names and numbers as well as fax numbers and email addresses for our newsletters and up to the minute information.

Please call Samantha at 800-589-7985 or 740-455-3911 to reserve your booth as soon as possible. As mentioned before, these spaces are reserved on a first come first serve basis.
